“Each day brings new opportunities, allowing you to constantly live with love—be there for others—bring a little light into someone's day. Be grateful and live each day to the fullest.”
― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
As you go about your holiday season, take a moment to pause and think about what you are grateful for. Maybe it will be time with family, a new job, the end of a hard day. Maybe you will be grateful for the beauty of Christmas lights twinkling in a dimmed room, cookies hot from the oven, or freshly fallen snow. Whatever you are grateful for, big or small, hold it in your heart for a moment, and offer a thought of gratitude for it.
Here at Well Child, we know the power of gratitude, of a thankful heart. As we enter this holiday season, we’d like to say thank you to our community for the wonderful support. As we tackle our mission to work with children, families, and communities to promote and facilitate pediatric mental wellness, we recognize that we cannot do it alone. Thank you to our clients and families who trust us with their most precious gifts- their children. Thank you to other community agencies who have joined us in this mission of helping the most vulnerable of our community. Thank you to our staff, an incredibly talented staff, who give their every effort and who embody the principles we stand for and meet the needs of our clients. Thank you to our own families- our spouses, significant others, children, and friends who sacrifice in so many ways to support our mission. We are grateful, dear reader, to you, for taking the time to read this message.
“Piglet noticed that even though he had a Very Small Heart, it could hold a rather large amount of Gratitude.”
― A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh
